Ofsted have rated St Mary's as a 'good' school. The report states that there are 'high expectations of staff and pupils' and that 'Pupils behave well and feel safe. They have positive attitudes to learning.'

Our Catholic Inspection (Section 48) report states that 'St. Mary’s School is a good school with outstanding features, particularly evident in its Catholic Life and within aspects of Collective Worship. Living out the Gospel values, together with the mission statement “we live life to the full, to become the best that we can be”, permeates the daily life of the school.
